Whilst in the game, you will immerse your persona into the Bleach world by means of telling a story about your character through their eyes - ie. Roleplaying.
Roleplaying has many advantages. Depending on the quality and length of your role play, you may get experience rewards from 300exp to 2000exp.
All GMs are equipped with an RP spy. This means that they see ALL role plays, no matter where you are.
NOTE : Leveling in the game is done MOSTLY via roleplaying and killing hollows.
GMs constantly monitor and reward role plays - please do not hesitate to roleplay!
Starting off
You'll start off as a mere human at the edge of a lake. From here have to roleplay as a human in order to get experience rewards and reach level 10. At level 10, you can be killed by a hollow in order to be transported to limbo and choose to become either Hollow or Shinigami. If you choose to stay a human, train via RPing in order to reach lvl 15 to become a Sado or an Inoue.
Example of an RP :
--/Hishido Shihou walks to the edge of the lake, the rain thundering around him. His electric blue eyes were cold. His expression detached - dead. As the thunder struck a tree beside him, he glanced in its direction. It was trivial to him. As he stood there by the lake, his emotions bleak, he suddenly realizes that he has nothing to live for. Closing his electric blue eyes, he steps into the lake. His head submerged, Hishido felt his breath going away. As he struggled upwards for air, his foot gets stuck on a vine. After a few seconds of struggling, he feels himself losing consciousness. He had died./--
This RP is enough for a 500-1000experience reward.
Once you've died, you will be transported into limbo. Take a left to go to Soul Society and become a Shinigami. Take a right and you'll go to Hueco Mundo. To become a Shinigami, RP with a player Captain for it and they will give you more information. To become a hollow, RP with an Espada.
Roleplaying
Roleplaying is fairly simple. Type the roleplay in the "Input RP" box, then click the "Submit" button. Please review the following example of a roleplay :

Note how grammar and spelling make a difference. The use of adjectives greatly supplements the quality of the role play. Roleplaying rewards are given by the following categories :

Please take time to review your roleplay before posting it. Single roleplay sentences will not be rewarded. It has to be at least a paragraph long.
Using the "Say" button
The use of the say button has, up until now, been a mystery to most newbies.
In a roleplaying game, you get what we call IC (In character) and OOC(Out of character).
When using the say button is as follows :
If you want to talk as your character, ie. IC, please use the say button as you would with OOC.
However, if you want to talk OOC, you have to use parenthesis in each message you send (ie. () - brackets. [] - block thingies)
Shinigami Requirememts
Shinigami = level 10.
Shikai = level 30.
Bankai = Level 50.
Zanpakutou gains are random - please do not ask us to edit your Zanpakutou.
Hollow requirements
RP with an Espada figure to become a Hollow.
Strong Hollow = Level 10.
Gillian = Level 30.
Adjucha = Level 40.
Vasto Lorde = Level 50.
RP with the Aizen figure in order to become an Arrancar.
Vaizard
Vaizard are chosen by the Shinji figure. If you meet him, you'll be lucky enough to become a Vaizard. Please note that you have to be a normal Shinigami to become a Vaizard.
Figures
All wipes are run by players. We call these players "Figures" as they represent figures in the Bleach world.
BOR uses 4 main figures :
Captain Commander - runs and controls Soul Society.
Aizen - runs and controls Hueco Mundo.
Shinji - runs and controls Vaizard.
Urahara - runs and controls Earth and special humans.

Tryouts for figures can be done via this forum.
